Deepen Spirituality
Sripuram is a secular, “spiritual park”, which is being built to teach ethical tenets of the world's major religions as well as the spiritual nature of all humans. It will include teachings of spiritual leaders, scholars and prophets from around the world, both living and dead. The non-denominational nature of the project is aimed at drawing people towards the understanding that giving from the heart is the only path to true joy. Sripuram teaches spirituality in a way, which is acceptable to all religions and beliefs. In addition to a temple, it will have a spiritual library, a cultural development center, meditation hall, and amphitheater. It will be a place of education, inspiration, and solace.
Amma acknowledges that today we all live in a materialistic world. Every individual is caught in the web of stress of materialism, pursuing and demanding more than what is required while at the same time ignoring the potential for experiencing true and lasting peace and joy. As a means of helping all individuals acquire this wisdom, Amma has launched this spiritual park. Sripuram will be the source of strength and energy to awaken spirituality and ethical behavior which leads to a peaceful and happy life for all human beings so that they can walk the righteous path.
Sripuram spreads over 60 acres of land consisting of a large variety of trees and breathtaking landscapes. There will be fountains, an eco-pond, cascades and pathways lined with scriptures from various religions of the world. These scriptures will be available in all the major languages and will guide visitors on the paths to a Majestic Temple. This spiritual path is meant to foster greater reverence towards and knowledge of other religions. The Sripuram-Spiritual Park is Amma’s dedication to the World and all Mankind.
