Pursue Education:

The goal is to encourage students enrolled in schools in and around Vellore district to pursue their education in support of their aspirations and career goals. Amma’s educational motto is Education provides knowledge while devotion cultivates wisdom. Together they offer peace of mind.

In June 2002, the Peedam constructed and opened a K-6 school, which provides free, secular education to the surrounding area.  Currently this school has an enrollment of 400 students and 22 trained teachers. A free nursery school has been operating for the last seven years and has an enrollment of 75 students. The Peedam has also been funding schools at many of the orphanages in the area as well.

Donations are required for teachers, educational supplies, including textbooks and computers, as well as such basic needs as additional plumbing and bathrooms.
